As for my profession as software developer, I am concentrating on Java based web-applications. As part of this - besides project management for LAMP-based environments - every day life has it to cover SQL, JavaScript (including frameworks such as jQuery), CSS, etc.
(Meanwhile quite outdated information on this topic: I had developed a mini Java-based web-application CodexRerum in autumn 2004. You can also check out my corresponding Java web-applications mini-HOWTO.)
Getting something to work and keep it that way (while eventually even improving
it too) can be really hard work every now and then.
In order not to have to search for the same solutions over and over again,
I started to thoroughly document the processes of work, explaining what and especially
how I accomplished it.
Check out ~max
for links to documents such as my LDAP,
Diskless Workstations or
HP Omnibook XE3
HOWTOs as well as information on Debian
and Ubuntu Linux.
Besides all this "administrative" stuff, I took care of the project SFS - Sicherheit, Free Software und andere Bits as part of my work at subnet. It includes regular newsletters and some more detailed articles (such as "Selbstaufgabe" oder "Die Kunst, Zu Verschenken") on the topics of Free Software and similar.
